Qantas Pilot Council Briefing No 19 – AFAP Long Haul EA Survey

Qantas Pilot Council Briefing No 19 – AFAP Long Haul EA Survey

A friendly reminder, if you are not yet a member but would like to receive our briefs, please email: membership@afap.org.au with the subject line “Please add me to the QPC mailing list”.

The AFAP will be releasing our Long Haul survey next Monday. The survey will be used by the AFAP LH EA team to develop a log of claims to be presented to Qantas as part of bargaining and it is critical all members complete the survey.

The survey is being conducted through Question Pro and a link will be sent out via direct email to AFAP members. Any non-AFAP members who are current Qantas pilots may request a link to complete the survey by emailing qpc@afap.org.au.

The email you receive will contain an individual survey link which is single use and linked to your email address so that the survey cannot be shared or completed multiple times. The survey once started can be saved and completed at a later time. However please note, if you open the survey but close the page without clicking on save and continue you will be unable to resume the survey.

Any pilots who do not receive a link (please check your junk mail first) should email Anna Cousins AFAP Marketing & Communications Manager at the AFAP at anna@afap.org.au.

The AFAP are pleased to announce our LH EA team who will attend meetings with Qantas are Captain John Killingback, First Officer Daniel Kobeleff and Second Officer Robert Woodbury. The AFAP LH EA team will also include AFAP senior legal and industrial staff Patrick Larkins, Deanna Cain and Chris Aikens.

The AFAP approach is to have pilot representatives and AFAP legal/ industrial staff work jointly in presenting claims and negotiating with Qantas on behalf of AFAP LH members. The AFAP will commence formal LH bargaining meetings with Qantas later this month and will update members following these meetings.

For any enquiries regarding matters at Qantas please contact any of the QPC (qpc@afap.org.au) or the AFAP legal and industrial team of Senior Legal/ Industrial Officer Pat Larkins (patrick@afap.org.au), Senior Industrial Officer Chris Aikens (chris@afap.org.au), or Executive Director Simon Lutton (simon@afap.org.au).

Regards,

AFAP Qantas Pilot Council
Michael Egan - Chair
Mark Gilmour - Vice- Chair
Daniel Kobeleff – Secretary
