The Aviator Group is seeking an experienced and suitably qualified Helicopter Pilot to join our flight operations team in Mackay Queensland.

The Aviator Group has established itself as a leading provider of specialist Helicopter Marine Pilot Transfer (HMPT) services in Australia. We also undertake Search and Rescue (SAR), Air Ambulance, executive charter, and utility services to a diverse customer base. Aviator Group is currently the sole provider of HMPT operations using Night Vision Devices within Australia. Aviator Group operates from bases at Gladstone, Hay Point, Mackay, and Port Hedland with additional bases planned soon. Aviator Group is driven to set and maintain the highest aviation standards to our clients.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

The successful applicant must live within one hour drive of a current Aviator Group operating base in Mackay Queensland. The successful applicant will be required to operate company A109, AS350 and future aircraft employed in the business at the Mackay base. The company operations are conducted by day and night under the VFR and IFR in support of Marine Pilot Transfer (HMPT) and charter operations in the Mackay area. The successful applicant must have a proven record in operating in these modes of operations.

Company aircrew are required to operate within the CASA approved FRMS that provides a strong work lifestyle balance.

The daily routine will see the successful applicant work in small highly driven team and operate single pilot on the majority of flight tasking.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE PRE-REQUISITES

To be considered for the role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and experience.

Experience Requirements:

  • CPL/ATPL(H)
  • 2500 hours total helicopter
  • 1500 hours total command helicopter
  • 100 hours PIC Multi Engine helicopters
  • 50 hours night
  • Current IPC - SP (MECIR) helicopter with minimum of three renewals
  • Offshore experience
  • Class 1 CASA Medical
  • Desirable Experience Attributes:
  • A109/AS350 type rating
  • Helicopter Marine Pilot Transfer (HMPT) experience
  • Vessel underway deck landings
  • Sling load / Long Line experience

The candidate must be an Australian Resident and have the ability to hold and maintain ASIC/MSIC.
