Naomi works as part of the AFAP Safety & Technical (S&T) team and is an ambassador for promoting the humans in the flight deck now and in the future.
Having progressed through a typical aviation career path, Naomi started as an instructor and then progressed to bank runs, charter and small country town supplementary airline flying, before moving to Ansett Australia and then Virgin Australia where she was a training Captain on the B737.
Naomi joined the AFAP in 2020 to develop and deliver safety interview training for pilot representatives. She also works with our IFALPA partners and AusALPA to coordinate responses to S&T matters; and attends S&T related meetings on behalf of the AFAP and AusALPA.
She has been part of the AFAP/Resilient Pilot mentor/coaching and professional development program introduction which includes Competency Based Training and Assessment (CBTA).
